Schanz Beverage has been a family-owned business located in the City of Watervliet for over 65 years. The business was founded in 1948 by Willard J. Schanz and began as a beer wholesaler for the capital district area. In 1975, the aspect of the business was redirected toward the retail market place with the opening of Schanz Beverage Center, which would cater toward the sale of beer and soda to the general public. Today under the leadership of Willard's two sons, Thomas and Martin Schanz, the business has expanded to the great beverage store you know today!
